Dr. Xin Li 李鑫 (associate professor):

Xin Li was born in 1980 in Tianjin, China. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry in 2002 from Nankai University. He pursued graduate studies at the same university from 2002 to 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Jin-Pei Cheng, working in the area of physical organic chemistry. After completing his PhD, he took up a postdoctoral fellowship at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science (ICCAS), in the research group of Prof. Sanzhong Luo. In 2010, he returned to Nankai University and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. His current research interests include asymmetric catalysis by chiral hydrogen-bonding catalysts and application of physical organic chemistry in the mechanism study of organocatalysis.
